Account for seasonality in your goals
Therapy is generally a seasonal business.
It tends to slow down in the summer and pick back up in the fall, especially if you work with kids or parents. Then it slows down again around the end of the year for the holidays.
So it’s important to account for seasonality in your goal setting.
For example, if your goal is to make $100,000 per year from your private practice, then you’d need to make around $8,300 per month. But it doesn’t work like that.
You’ll likely need to make more during busier months to make up for the slower months. It could look like $10,000 per month in the Spring / Fall and $6,000 per month in the Summer / Winter.
