Why AI-generated posters are a bad idea
People on Reddit have opinions about AI-generated posters. You’ve probably seen them by now.
Here’s an example I saw recently from a local cafe in my town. I cropped out the name to protect their identity.
Not only can you tell the images are AI-generated, but they don’t even look appetizing.
I understand why people use AI to create posters like this one. It’s quick and easy. But it does more harm than good for your brand for a few reasons.
First, people generally have a strong reaction to “AI slop.” So when they see it, they immediately lose trust.
Second, if you’re using AI for graphic design, then you’re going to look like everyone else who is also using AI for graphic design.
It’s easy enough to make your own poster on Canva or hire someone from Fiverr or Upwork if you have the resources.
Don’t sacrifice credibility for convenience.
