One reason not to cancel your Psychology Today
Referrals from Psychology Today are down. I wrote about why here.
Even if you’re not getting referrals, being listed on Psychology Today is good for both search engine optimization (SEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) because it provides a backlink to your website from a high authority domain.
It’s particularly helpful for AEO which increases the likelihood of your website being cited in large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Claude which clients are using more and more to find a therapist.
Just make sure your Psychology Today profile links to your website and your Name, Address, and Phone Number (NAP) are consistent.
